I walk now at night and see through the gleam
A world of surfaces gone baron
Before confidence there are floors
Now I prey eyes that walk me through doors
Not a droplet in the ocean
Not a seagull in sight
Everybody is looking for ruin
All you have to do is lie

In the brittle brush I feel the rage
Purging through the bitterness of sage
Late night when your eyes are dark
And you're far from who you are
Why not melt into the mold
Pining panes of glass unclothed
